Matt Mallett was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and he graduated from Texas State University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Matt later attended the University of Texas School of Law, where he graduated in 2018. During this time, Matt served as an article’s editor on the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law. He also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Nancy K. Johnson of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and as a judicial intern in 311th District Court for Harris County, Houston, TX.

After graduating law school, Matt worked in commercial litigation where he represented corporate clients in complex matters, including contractual disputes, employment disputes, business torts, energy-related litigation, and derivative litigation.

Matt’s practice now focuses on both commercial and insurance litigation, primarily focusing on insurance coverage litigation, insurance fraud and premium litigation, judicial review of administrative decisions, and related appeals. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and admitted to practice before the Fifth Circuit and U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of Texas.
